Sci-Fi Metropolis Battle Sequence
Integrating complex 3D mech units, debris, and volumetric smoke layers into handheld anamorphic camera plates with sub-pixel matchmove solvers.
The Challenge
The plate was shot with high-speed panning and strong lens distortion (anamorphic streak). Tracking markers were obscured by heavy physical atmospheric smoke and lens flares.
The Solution
Our tracking supervisors matched the camera trajectory in 3DEqualizer using user-guided trackpoints and custom lens grids. Debris paintouts and rotoscoping of smoke layers enabled seamless compositing integration.
